On the edge of the forest; on the edge of a canyon; on the edge of the sky between the two billion year old Crestone Peaks and the San Luis Valley (the size of Massachusetts) – which for three million years was a lake. The primordiality of Earth is present, touchable, from this little cabin and from Crestone Mountain Zen Center. Awakening depths! Dissolving! Disappearing! Re-appearing! From the Edge Cabin’s secluded porch you’re within the immense Valley; the Forest branches; the Peaks' presence. The Cabin has a kitchenette; a toilet, tub, and shower; a desk; internet; a queen bed; yoga and meditation space; comfortable chairs. A home, a shelter, a sanctum, in the midst of shareable vastness. Step back! Step into! Step with! Within!

Mental Health & Personal Responsibility *	I fully understand that the Crestone Mountain Zen Center is a place for Dharma practice, that neither the teachers nor the practitioners on site treat mental health conditions, and that the practice offerings are not a substitute for psychotherapy or psychiatric care. I am participating in this program at my own risk and have determined that this program is suitable for me. I take responsibility for my own well-being, and will stop if it is not beneficial for me. I confirm that I am currently in a sufficiently stable condition to participate in this program and that I am not experiencing an acute mental health crisis or other condition that would make intensive meditation practice unsuitable for me at this time. I am aware that intensive meditation practice may be contraindicated in cases of certain psychological stressors or mental health conditions; and that meditation can trigger processes that require therapeutic support; if in doubt, I have discussed this in advance with a qualified professional (e.g., a therapist or physician). I confirm that I do not regularly use psychoactive substances that could significantly impair my perception, stability, or participation in this program. I understand that intensive practice can have profound effects, can challenge familiar patterns and evoke experiences that feel unfamiliar, difficult, or unsettling. I am aware that this can sometimes happen unexpectedly, even if I feel mentally stable. I confirm that I will inform the Director or the Guest Manager should I notice that such a process is being triggered within me, and I acknowledge that they may ask me to end my stay if it becomes apparent that this is not the right place for me at this time. The information provided here is intended solely to assess the suitability of the offer and will be treated confidentially. No medical evaluation or data storage will take place beyond the booking process.
